COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course invites elementary educators to step into the evolving—and sometimes overwhelming—landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and explore why it matters for teaching and learning today.

COURSE CONTENT

Grounded in the principles of creative learning—Projects, Peers, Passion, and Play—this course invites you to experiment with AI tools alongside fellow educators, with creativity at the core of everything we explore. Each week combines hands-on experimentation, collaborative discussions, and guided reflection as we consider both the possibilities and limitations of AI in elementary classrooms.

You'll design creative learning experiences using AI as a thought partner in the development process, and then try them out in your classroom. Through experimentation and reflection, you'll consider how these tools might help you create more engaging learning for your students. Whether and how students themselves might use AI tools is part of what we'll explore together. This is your chance to experiment, reflect on what works, and develop your own informed philosophy about how these tools fit into your teaching practice.

WHO IT'S FOR

Elementary educators (PreK-5) who are curious about AI, have questions or concerns, and want dedicated time to explore these tools in a supportive, reflective community focused on creativity and student-centered learning. Previous experience with creative learning methodology is helpful.

Here's What Teachers are saying...

"I would recommend it because it was different from any other class I have taken and I think that creative learning is the next “wave” and primary education. This course shifted my thinking about the importance of creative play and its connection to problem solving.”
